Demetrius Wilder, also known as "Meechii or Dee", is a 25 year-old Hip Hop/Rap Artist bred from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was born on November 27, 1995 and was raised by his father David Wilder and mother Oriel Wilder. He grew up on 19th and Hampton Ave in Milwaukee's north side and attended Silver Spring elementary school. Meechii expressed his love for music as early as 8 years old and performed in his school's talent show with his best friend Jon "Jon Jon" Tillman. But it wasn’t until around 12 years of age when he realized he actually had a gift vocally.

“I’ll never forget. I was watching the movie "5 Heartbeats" in my parents bedroom and as I was sitting there listening to the song "A Heart is a House of Love", it captivated me to the point where I just started singing the lyrics myself. Even at that age, I could understand if I were terrible or not but I realized that I sounded fucking good!"

Meechi would always sing low or sing when nobody was around and knew he had a distinctive sound on a professional level and not just when he joked around. But that day he would never forgot; That's when he said to himself, "I could really see myself doing something special with my voice.”

Meechii attended Samuel Morse-John Marshall High School for his first couple of years but graduated from Harold Vincent high school. Throughout his high school tenure, he never focused on music; His main goals were just to be a regular student and maintain his grades.

“I never even been in a real studio until I was in my twenties," Meechii stated. "Before then, it was just a laptop and a cheap mic, maybe some speakers. And that’s if I was even doing music. But I soon came to find out that this gift from God would pay out the right way!"
